With this version we will improve the usability for

This version contains mainly bug fixes and some improvements in various product areas.

This version introduces complete UI-less Python scripting. Also it fixes a problem with very long module descriptions (>32k) and adds forward compatibility with upcoming CAA-free BASLIB 5.0 (and also still with CAA-based BASLIB 4.0.1).

Maintenance release

Enables an LLM to interact with the CODESYS Development System through the Model Context Protocol interface. To achieve this, an MCP server is integrated into the Development System. The server provides a set of so-called tools that allow an LLM to:

• Read project contents
• Create or modify datatypes and POUs using structured text
• Use the compiler and retrieve compiler errors
• Access library documentation

Allow UTF-8 identifiers for the trace name and traced variables in the Trace Editor.

This new library add-on contains a library with elements (PID, filters, …) for programming control loops: the library ControlLoop (which used to be available in the store as "Control Loop Library").

This version prepares the transition to version 5.0: It provides unbound-placeholder resolution for the Memory Block Manager library of CODESYS. This allows for add-ons and for projects that can safely switch between Base Libraries 4.0.1 and 5.x.

• When updating a project from SP16P9 (CFC 4.2.0.0) to newer versions like SP19P4 or SP20P2 (CFC 4.3.0.0 / 4.4.0.0), the alignment of boxes (inputs/outputs) and connecting links changes unexpectedly due to the introduction of the "Hide namespaces" feature

Update of "CODESYS Application Composer Single License" only, no functional changes. This update is necessary for running "CODESYS Application Composer" (any version) in SL-mode on any new CODESYS versions starting with V3.5 SP19 Patch 3. It cannot be used with older CODESYS versions. For using "CODESYS Application Composer" with older CODESYS versions, use the old "CODESYS Application Composer Single License".
